Directions for Use
The powder should be sprinkled on or mixed in with the pet's food. Each scoop contains 0.625 gr. For the initial period of 4 to 6 weeks give 2 scoops daily for cats under 5kg in weight. Give 4 scoops daily (2 in the morning and 2 in the evening) for cats weighing 5 to 10kg. After 6 weeks give a maintenance dose of one scoop daily for cats under 5kg in weight and 2 level scoops daily (1 in the morning and 1 in the evening) for cats weighing 5 to 10 kg.
Possible Side Effects
The side effects of Joint Guard are rare at the recommended dosage. Studies in cats have demonstrated no adverse effects on the liver, kidney or other organs. Some cats may initially develop a mild gastrointestinal upset which usually subsides over a short time.
Active Ingredients
Each 2.5 g of Joint Guard powder contains glucosamine hydrochloride 500 mg, chondroitin sulfate 400 mg, MSM 51 mg, manganese gluconate 45.5 mg, calcium ascorbate (vitamin C) 80 mg, zinc 2.1 mg, copper 0.17 mg and vitamin E 1.5mg.
