Certifect® for Dogs Description:
Certifect for dogs is a fast acting, topical 'spot-on' application for the treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestation. Certifect has a rapid onset of action starting to kill ticks within 6 hours, completely killing them in 18 hours. It kills ticks known to transmit Lyme disease, Babesiosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever and ehrlichiosis. It has the same effective flea control as found in Frontline plus, killing adult fleas, flea eggs and larvae. Each application gives one whole month of protection. It is still effective after swimming or bathing. It can be used on puppies from 8 weeks of age and is safe to use on breeding, pregnant or lactating animals.
The manufacturer advises that some dogs may experience temporary lethargy and irritation at the site of product application. If signs persist or become more severe within a few days of application, consult a veterinarian immediately. It appears that some dogs may experience more severe symptoms with sores developing at the site of application and severe lethargy. Older animals and those with underlying diseases are more commonly affect. Because of these potential side effects we recommend you consult your veterinarian before using this product on your pets.
